The Rock News Kicking Goals while The Cairns Post Shows Real Leadership!

The Rock News continues to grow, with annual statistics released overnight. The number on the right is our average daily visits:

2009:    7,284 (34)

2010:    42,335 (116)

2011:     104,864 (287)

Thanks to all our supporters and even the non-supporters who may click on us from time to time.

Also well done to The Cairns Post for many of the quality stories over the year and a big ‘well done’ on their new Submission Guidelines released yesterday! Such ‘ethics based leadership’ is to be welcomed in Cairns.

However, there is no time for any of us to be relaxed or self congratulatory – Strap yourself in for a busy and event filled 2012.

  1. The Rock News is a valuable source of information to the community a pity other Councillors and hope full Councillors were not a little more active
Perhaps now 2012 is here they might get their fingers out and start communicating with the community instead of sitting on their back side thinking they have won their seat
I am thinking of running for division 4 the candidate here thinks because he works within the Aboriginal community he does not have to do any work
I can have a team of supporters up and running in under a week so I will give it a great deal of thought

  2. Well done Rob on the success of your blog! Well done too, to The Cairns Post for taking a tougher stance on people posting comments and making them accountable for their words.

  3. Congratulations on the sucess of the Rock News and also for having the courage to stand up for the community on issues such as the entertainment precinct.
