The 2014 Cairns Sustainable Living Expo!

Persistent wet weather has resulted in a venue shift for next weekend’s Sustainable Living Expo.

“Ongoing rain means Fogarty Park has not yet recovered from the Ironman Cairns earlier this month,” Mayor Bob Manning said.

“The muddy surface isn’t likely to be repaired before the weekend, so we’ve made the decision to shift the expo to a drier location, which will be much more comfortable for both stallholders and visitors.”

The expo will now be held inside The Pier Shopping Centre, utilising centre stage and the surrounding space.

The Sustainable Living Expo is now in its seventh year of showcasing sustainable products and methods for doing more with less around the home.

The expo will be held on Sunday 22 June, opening at 11am, and features more than 60 exhibitors.

Presented by Cairns Regional Council, the Sustainable Living Expo is free and all are welcome.

This event gets bigger and better each year.  Come along to the free expo where you can learn how to live more comfortably for less.  There are heaps of stalls which will be displaying sustainable living products and information for the home and garden.

There are lots of fun activities for  the kids including a jumping castle and face painting as well as live music and food stalls.
