Richard Wong to capture the beauty of our endangered wildlife!
Richard Wong, an award-winning oriental brush & watercolour artist from Cairns’ sister city of Sidney, Canada, is participating in the Tanks’ Sister Cities Residency Exchange Program.
“I embrace a free-flowing, spontaneous style that channels intuition to capture unique and vibrant impressions of nature. The beauty of our surroundings and much of what we see is affected and threatened. I’ve decided to capture the beauty of our endangered wildlife in art to promote some awareness.” During his residency, Richard will share his passion of painting, talking and teaching, culminating in an exhibition in July about endangered species of Australia and Canada.
